Five water silos with GenaDome PRO covers for temporary rainwater storage
Commissioned by technical installer KaRo, Genap installed five water silos with GenaDome PRO covers at an arable farm in the province of North Holland. Each silo has a diameter of 8.80 metres, a height of 5.06 metres and a capacity of 308 m³. Together, the silos provide 1,540 m³ of storage for rainwater, which is discharged at a controlled rate or partially used for drip irrigation.
Installation of a chilled-water buffer for a more stable greenhouse climate
In collaboration with CombiCoop, Genap installed an insulated chilled-water buffer in an existing greenhouse in the province of Zeeland. The silo stores chilled water in temperature layers, allowing cooling supply and demand to be matched more effectively. This enables the heat pump to operate more consistently and helps reduce gas consumption and CO₂ use.
Construction of reservoir, ditches, and trenches for sustainable strawberry cultivation in polytunnels
In collaboration with Greenhouse Equipment, Genap installed a water reservoir, two ditches, and 56 trenches at a fruit and vegetable grower in Wittenberg, Germany. The system collects rainwater from the roofs of the polytunnels and channels it into the water reservoir. This contributes to sustainable open-field strawberry cultivation by making optimal use of rainwater and reducing groundwater consumption.
Seven water silos for contaminated groundwater
In collaboration with Excalibur Plastics, Genap installed seven water silos in London, Canada, for storing contaminated groundwater, essential for a chemical company's purification process. These sustainable silos, anchored in concrete, highlight efficient placement and collaboration.
