Mesh Silo
A mesh silo can be assembled quickly. It is available in various sizes and relatively easy to move, making it an ideal solution for (impending) slurry surpluses. Besides slurry storage, the mesh silo can also be used for storing other liquids such as digestate, sludge, or water.
Construction of a mesh silo
The Genap mesh silo consists of thermally galvanized elements interconnected to form a strong, stable wall structure. The number of elements determines the size and capacity of the mesh silo, ranging from small silos with a diameter of Ø 6.81 metres and a capacity of 106 m³ to very large silos of Ø 26.57 metres and 1,607 m³. The interior of the construction is lined with black HDPE geomembrane to protect the silo lining. The material of this lining is selected based on the silo’s use (the type of manure or other contents). The silo is particularly suitable for placement on less load-bearing grounds; a concrete foundation is not necessary. The mesh silo can be covered with a floating cover.
