Silos and closed water reservoirs at a rose nursery
Within the framework of the Green Farming project, aimed at reducing water and fertiliser consumption in greenhouses and improving crop results, Genap, commissioned by Bosman Installatietechniek, has installed various water storage systems at the greenhouse complex of Dutch rose nursery Van den Berg in Kenya.
Special silos for the storage of fertilisers have been placed next to the greenhouses as part of this project. Additionally, two fully closed water reservoirs have been constructed for the storage of reversed osmosis water. This water is used for irrigation purposes in the greenhouses upon request.
The unique aspect of these reservoirs is their fully enclosed nature, which means there is no evaporation, algae growth, or external contamination. As a result, the irrigation water remains of high quality, contributing to the efficiency and sustainability of rose cultivation.
"Genap is highly flexible and innovative in developing closed water solutions and silos. This makes Genap unique and an excellent partner for Bosman International!"
