Mesh silo with a return pipeline
On behalf of Nijmeijer’s dairy farm, based in Koekange, Genap has installed a mesh silo with a return pipe. The decision to opt for a mesh silo was driven by its favorable pricing compared to a concrete silo.
Equipped with a return pipe, the silo allows slurry to flow back into the slurry pit. This provides the advantage of swift loading using the suction arm of the slurry tank, thereby enhancing the efficiency of slurry spreading.
To facilitate the mixing of the slurry, a mixing hatch has been installed in the floating cover on the slurry silo.
