Cover sheet on leachate reservoir
On behalf of Wopereis Stainless Steel, Genap installed a cover on an existing leachate basin, significantly reducing emissions and odor for the end user, Attero, a major waste processing company.
The cover, spanning 14,500 square meters, was positioned on the existing, elevated, and very large leachate basin using a winch system and subsequently installed. The cover is made from a highly resistant geomembrane equipped with ventilation units and floatation devices. Deploying this massive cover ‘wet’ was a significant task that required a lot of experienced manpower. Additional ventilators were installed at a later stage.
