Tensioned cover on a six-meter-high silo

In Herzlake, Germany, Genap installed a tensioned cover on a new concrete silo at a pig farm, designated for slurry storage. Standing at a height of 6 metres and spanning over 15 metres in diameter, this tensioned cover will envelop and protect the entire silo. Made from Genatex® 850 PVC membrane, the cover was tailored into pie-shaped segments at our manufacturing facility in ‘s-Heerenberg. The interconnections are reinforced with an integrated PVC-polyester strap, allowing the cover to be securely tensioned. Thanks to the prefab design and the craftsmanship of the Genap team, stretching and installing the tensioned cover was straightforward.
