Seven tension covers on slurry silos
In collaboration with Fabiton, Genap designed, produced, and installed seven tensioned covers for Greenferm. These covers are specifically designed for bio-membrane reactor tanks and slurry storage and mixing tanks. Located in Apeldoorn, Greenferm has constructed a state-of-the-art, environmentally sustainable factory for processing slurry, converting the solid fraction into a high-quality end product.
The bio-membrane reactor tanks consist of three concrete rings, with the outer ring being lower and covered by a concrete deck. The middle and inner rings are equipped with a tensioned cover with a diameter of 37 metres. The inner ring is made accessible by a walkway integrated into the tensioned cover. Moreover, the cover can be opened to facilitate periodic maintenance, such as filter replacement.
