Energy storage in the form of 2 insulated water silos
At the request of Cogas Noord, Genap has fully insulated two water storage silos for HZPC, each approximately 10 metres in diameter and 4.22 metres high, to serve as energy buffers. The insulation ensures minimal fluctuation in the temperature of the stored cold water, typically between 7 and 10°C. This controlled temperature is vital for its application. In summer, the client who is a potato grower, uses this chilled water to regulate the temperature in the greenhouses when there is a risk of it becoming too warm.
