Concrete slurry silo with tensioned cover
In Wanneperveen, Genap installed a Muleby slurry silo, complete with a tensioned cover, at the dairy farm managed by Richard Brand and his son.
The need for additional storage space was the driving force behind this decision, leading directly to the choice of a sustainable solution in the form of a concrete silo. Previously, a smaller mesh mat silo was used, but now the choice has been made for a concrete silo with a diameter of over 20 meters and a height of 5 meters, resulting in a total volume of more than 1600 cubic meters. A stainless steel mixer is integrated into the wall of the silo, and the entire assembly is covered with a tensioned cover.
