Biogas floating cover
In close collaboration with NEST, Genap delivered and installed five biogas floating covers in tanks with a diameter of 32 meters, located at a biogas facility in Wetschen, Germany. Beneath the biogas floating cover, star-shaped floats act as gas channels, guiding the produced gas to the gas outlet. Post-extraction, the gas undergoes a cleaning and processing procedure before being flared off or returned to the biogas plant to serve as an energy source.
The system is equipped with integrated pressure relief valves to adequately respond to any potential gas accumulations under the biogas floating cover. Moreover, Genap’s biogas floating covers can be applied in any existing tank without the need for corrosion protection or silo reinforcement.
