Partition in drinking water production reservoir
Upon request from Van den Herik Kust en Oeverwerken, a geomembrane construction was installed as a partition in a reservoir used for drinking water production. The Lange Vlieter, situated between Napoleonsweg, Beegden, and Heel, underwent extensive maintenance in 2018. These maintenance works are crucial to ensure the lake can function optimally as a storage basin for the drinking water production of Waterleiding Maatschappij Limburg in the future.
Given its application for drinking water, a high-quality reinforced PVC geomembrane named “Genatex 930” in blue was used. The partition screen has a total length of 500 meters and a width of 15 meters. The membranes were custom-made in our production facility, after which they were carefully welded together on-site on a pontoon.
