Final sealing of former landfill

Genap installed a top seal using HDPE geomembrane for the sealing of the former DOP NOAP landfill. On-site, our technicians welded this 400,000 m² geomembrane together and meticulously checked for leaks. Additionally, more than 125 inspection wells were created in the geomembrane using an HDPE sliding system to ensure that the connections remain watertight, even in the event of soil subsidence. The top seal consists of several layers, including a Trisoplast mineral layer, HDPE geomembrane, a drainage mat, and a 1-meter-thick living layer.
